Bill: Healthcare Privatization Act of 2802
Details
Submitted by[?]: Constitutionalist Imperial League (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2802
Description[?]:
The institution of universal healthcare was a disaster for our country. With the competition of government and its unlimited funds, private insurers will not be able to compete. However, in a spirit of compromise and realizing that one cannot shift from one system to another too radically, we propose to replace the current universal healthcare by systems of medicare and mdecaid to provide healthcare benefits to the poor and elderly, through intensive cooperation between the government and private charities. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, People have a right to choose what they want. Government is just one choice, and the private clinics have not disappeared, they simply have to compete like always. They will find the money, for while the Government may have unlimited funds, it does not go fast as a private company may. For that reason people will use the private ones and thus will be able to compete. People have the right to choose between the two, we have no right to take away either of the choices. This is true Capitalism, were everything is competition and requires the best to do their best in order to succeed. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, People cannot have rights that violate other rights. The so-called "right to choose" violates the right to property, therefore it is invaluid. This is not true capitalism. True capitalism exists only when there is no government intervention. I yield. |
