Submitted by[?]: Constitutionalist Imperial League (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2803
Description[?]:
The state, while absolutely necessary for the defense and protection of His Majesty's subjects, is not as skilled as the private sector in the areas of industry. All organs have their strengths and weaknesses. As the private sector could not be trusted to maintain the Empire military, so it is best to keep industry out of the hands of the state. Luthori is an extremly prosperous nation, thanks to lax business rules that encourage industrial activity. Our Empire's industrial output is enormous. Larger economic activity leads to direct advatages for all, including the poorer members of our society. To continue the fight against unemployment, we propose to officialy privatize the areas of our economy not implicitly controlled by our government. This is following the Law against implied powers, which are illegal and implies that all businesses not implicitly controlled by the state are private. We must correct this. |
