Message | The game will not forecast increased revenue from the sales tax, so that I will estimate. Government Spending = 702B GAD Government Revenue= 57B GAD from 1% Income Tax 281B GAD from Corporation Tax 700B GAD from Sales Tax (If sales do not drop from increased tax) 1038B GAD Total Now there could be an adverse affect on sales due to the higher sales tax, but I think the increased disposable income from the lack of an income tax will negate that. If anything we should see a massive increase in investment. |

Message | I'd like to see the corporation tax increased, rather than the necessities tax. Also, the income tax seems incredibly low. I feel the wealthy citizens of Gaduridos should contribute more to our nation. I am not for or against this yet, but it is quite a drastic change from our current tax policy. |

Message | We agree that corporations should be taxed more. We are averse to taxing high income earners too heavily. We are also neither for nor against, at this stage, and are very interested in more discussion on this matter. |

Message | The income tax is very low only because I couldn't get rid of it all together. This is essentially an effort to switch from taxing production to taxing consumption. An income tax taxes how much you work, while a sells tax taxes how much you spend, I think it is more fair to tax the spending side. |

Message | Sounds sensible enough. As long as we don't have a deficit, I suppose. Why not increase the corporate tax instead of the essential goods tax? |

Message | I think that the effects will be the same if the corporation tax increases. The corporation will just pass the added tax on to the consumers through higher prices. It could be a viable plan for the future if the sales tax is unsuccessful. |

Message | Fair enough. The Totalitarian Party supports the proposed tax policy. |

Message | A sales tax is regressive, taxing the poor in a greater percentage than the rich. The increased taxes on ESSENTIAL goods is too great. |
