Bill: Daily Working Hours Enactment
Details
Submitted by[?]: Königs Reichspartei
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2809
Description[?]:
It seems illogical to me, that a government has no policy on daily working hours. This gives employers the power to enforce hours on workers with say, temporary disabilities; and trade unions the power to take advantage of wage to hour ratios, negatively affecting our market relations. |

Proposal[?] to change The government's policy towards daily working hours.
Old value:: The government has no policy concerning daily working hours.
Current: The government obligates trade unions and employers to negotiate the daily number of working hours.

Message | There's no policy because no agreement on what to do. Several parties, including the NP, favor delegating this task to local governments to decide. |

Message | The NP is correct; the FAP has been pushing for local governments to choose if or if not to have a daily working hour policy and the NP has supported this which I thank them including the other parties who vote in favor of that as well. Having no policy is reckless, especially in a nation with about 400 million people; I hope that some sort of a law can be worked out and the Diet has a forum on this. |

Message | Although I still stand by my original legislation, this change will probably be more suitable. |
Date | 11:14:47, August 26, 2009 CET | From | Kaiserlich Partei | To | Debating the Daily Working Hours Enactment |
Message | I fail to see the substance of this legislation. I do not believe any government should regulate the amount of working hours and that such an agreement shall be between the employer and employee solely and should not include government intervention. For this reason, I do not agree with the proposed legislation in its current form. |
