Bill: National Fire Department Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Action Française
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2130
Description[?]:
The NA proposes the creation of a national fire department. We feel that the current system of allowing local commonwealths to run their own fire departments is daft, as border areas need to be able to share services effectively, this can only be provided via the creation of a national fire department. Also national emergencies require the large use of the emergency services, thus rather than splitting the fire department into five seperate institutions, having one unified service will allow the national government to coordinate he emergency response to national emergencies far more effectively than the current case is. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
