MessageAs the proposed legislation stands I can't agree to it. Particular criminals such as paedaphiles and murdurers should NOT be given education benifits

MessageI fail to see the desired effect of this proposal...
Please clarify the following things:
1. What is education? -is it life skills or mathematics?
2. Who would qualify? -all prisoners or just low-security prisoners?

Furthermore, if a person will not be removed from the correctional facility, why is it the state's responsibility to ensure the person remains mentally active. I believe the onus should be on the prisoner.

Message1. Education; the life-skills necessary to integrate back into society, and the work skills to re-enter the workforce.
2. All prisoners could potentially qualify. The idea of an education system to rehabilitate is to stop people like paedophiles and murderers from repeating their offences when they are released.
KP- How can it be the prisoners responsibility to ensure they remain mentally active, when their is no way for them to do this while they are incarcerated?
KR- You wish to leave paedophiles and murderers brewing in prisons, given nothing to do but absolve into fantasies? Thoughts like this are the reason why they are likely to re-offend, they know no better. Give them something to learn, homework even, and keep their mind's occupied.

Considering the amount of budget entering Education, some should be allocated to the prison system.

MessageAny psychologist will tell you ARA that murderer's and paedophiles' criminal behaviour is embedded in their mind-set, thus it is impossible to change so they may as well rot in prison where they belong

MessageI have not yet found 'any psychologist' to tell me this.
Obviously you are misinformed, as physcologist's don't study these, it is in fact psychiatrist's.

People can change, and if a murderer is going to be in the prison system for 10-20 years, they will need to be re-educated to adjust to society, as it is bound to change in that time period.

Besides, murderer's are not a factor in this argument, due to this countries support of the death penalty for capital crimes.

MessageI must admit that although we as a society have a tendency to assist in the rehabilitation process, there are frankly some members of the community that "fail to be rehabilitated".

MessageA psychologist puts the theories of psychiatrists into practice, therefore my argument isn't flawed.

Manslaughter charges should also be considered.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
