Message | What about it? This bill is about the flag, not about freedom of speech. You can say the flag is ugly if you want, just like you can complain about the country's leader and welfare system. This bill refers to physically desecrating or dishonouring the flag (ie. set the flag on fire). |
Date | 22:57:57, October 23, 2005 CET | From | Fenner Brockway Socialist Party | To | Debating the Protection of National Dignity |
Message | We see no reason for this. "Desecration" of the flag is a legitimate form of peaceful protest and, as such, should be protected as part of the right to freedom of expression. |

Message | His Grace fully supports this. Peasants who begin by desecrating our flag will go on to do far worse things. Teach them discipline and respect! Percy Waterman (Personal Secretary to the Grand Duke of Hikirena) |

Message | We concur with FBSP and NS. Citizens can do whatever they choose with the flag, it is an inalienable freedom. |
