MessageMr. Speaker,

Recent research shows that while the states of Saqueya, Kalvere and Unkassa under the tenure of this coalition government has seen staggeringly low unemployment rates; all below 2.8%. However, the states of Ingomu and Endirahad have suffered juxtaposed to the prosperity of their neighbors. Respectively, the unemployment rates are 7.7% and 8.1% and with a recent inquiry into this Director-General Kostandian IV has authorized for direct action to be taken and the results from the inquiry made public.

The Ministry of Finance has worked closely under the stewardship of Director of State Cheviot who has brought together the pertinent cabinent departments and experts to examine this issue. Minister Macleod of I.A, a man of intense dedication and known to his peers as one who is most sincere, frank and honest in his initiatives, has produced findings from all of our states and what is clear through analysis is that this unemployment issue we are facing in the aforementioned latter States is mainly due to our current laws preventing the wisest and most experienced citizens of the Zardic Federation to retire; often against their will. This can not be tolerated in our proud Federal Republic.

I've spoken to various members of both my own party and members of the United Alliance. Our parties will be endorsing this measure. I would urge the members of the Directorate of the Z.L.P. to consider doing so as well. This is a chance to allow our seniors the chance to work until they desire to, and then retire; all the while boosting the economies of the states of Ingomu and Endirahad. I thank the Directorate and it's esteemed and honorable members for their time and consideration.

I yield the floor, Mr. Speaker.

Minister of Finance, Viola Howard
