Message | I really don't see why the government cannot be allowed to establish gated communities. Do either of you want to explain your reasons for being against the current law? |

Message | If the private sector can freely establish services, then the people can act in their own best interest without government intervention. In this situation the government is overstepping the economic freedom of the citizen and making choices for him. |

Message | It is applying Occam's Razor to government. If there are two plausible policies, take the simpler route. |

Message | Did you see my original argument for gated communities? Basically, I said that at times, the government may wish to establish their own gated community. Example: A community outside/within a military base for the family of soldiers/administrative personnel/whatever. The government would want to run the community, rather the private sector, because of security concerns. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
