Details

Submitted by[?]: We Say So! Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2131

Description[?]:

In order to provide value for money, and to guarantee service provision, the Government shall introduce a Publically funded and operated National Postal Service. This service, though ultimately answerable to Government through it's position of public accountability, will be operated as a public company with no direct day-to-day operational interference by the Government.
Parcel and other delivery services can, and will, still be operated by Private Companies and though the National Postal Service will also operate parcel deliveries, along with standard postal services, the Private Sector will be allowed to compete on both price and service.

Post Offices will be owned and operated by the National Postal Service and will provide access, not only to the Postal network, but also allow for the collection of information on updating I.D. Cards, passports etc.
