Message | The NDP feel that while the motives behind this bill are just; this bill is an infringement on the rights of citizens to worship freely. We cannot support this bill as it stands. |
Date | 23:28:13, September 11, 2009 CET | From | People's Party of Rutania | To | Debating the Appointment of religious ministers |
Message | There is absolutely no infringement of the rights of citizens to worship freely. This bill is to protect the citizens that worship freely from militant leaders. Faith is a wonderful thing, but driven to violence, faith is a tragedy. |
Date | 02:41:48, September 12, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Heritage Party | To | Debating the Appointment of religious ministers |
Message | This legislation is a disgraceful invasion of religion. The very notion that the federal government should play any role whatsoever in regulating the church - a vital institution of civil society - is distrubing, to see the least, and frightfully reminiscent of the policies of various Communist regimes in history. We strongly oppose. |
Date | 04:15:49, September 14, 2009 CET | From | Revolutionary Workers Party | To | Debating the Appointment of religious ministers |
Message | We of course regard this bill as top-down government infringement in people's private rights to worship, and thus oppose. |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
