Message | What exactly would be social democratic about supporting bureaucratic state monopoly capitalism? We happen to believe that a mixed economy with strong regulative measures is better suited to ensure social justice, employees' and consumers' rights and the protection of the environment than the administration of businesses by an ultimately authoritarian state bureaucracy. |

Message | And private capitalist enterprises are inherently authoritarian anyway |
Date | 08:05:55, September 15, 2009 CET | From | People's Party - Republican Democrats | To | Debating the Economic Reform Bill of 2817 |
Message | We do not oppose the institution of Democratic Workers' Councils, in fact we encourage them. We just don't want to make them compulsory like the Cooperative League does. And we are aware of the problems with unregulated private enterprise, that's why we follow a regulative approach. |
