Message | This is a major action which effects a great number of other issues, at the moment the local councils are three parts citizen-elected representatives and one Guild Representation. This is what you are changing and for no good reason. What is your parties obsession with the Executive, constantly demanding that one man should stand above and hold power over democratic institutions? We support democracy not power hungry and personal politics. And to the socialists surely equality of position in government is as much your watchword as it is ours. |

Message | Our initial vote was cast based on a careless misreading of the current law in effect. It was thought that councils currently have the power to elect mayors, but on second glance it has become obvious that this is not the case. We have changed our vote accordingly. |
