Message | The Rutanian Heritage Party introduced the current policy - we still firmly support it, and therefore, we fervently oppose this legislation and any like it. This is a blatant and unashamed attempt to redefine and recreate the family unit - consisting of a man, a woman, and their children - as embedded in the moral, social and cultural foundation of our civilized society and rooted in biological imperative. The reality is that we cannot possibly impose upon society as equals those people who deviate from this norm without doing untold and irreparable damage to our civilization - any 'family' that strays from the basic structure is an artificial and arbitrary creation that could not and would not exist without the State's continual intervention on its behalf, making it illigitimate by nature as well as by culture. Aside from this, adopted children will be the silent victims of this legislation, as they become mere trophies of a supposed 'civil-rights' triumph, rather than being treated as human-beings with needs for a healthy and normal upbringing, like every other - bullying and name-calling will be inevitable for children unwillingly pushed into these circumstances. |

Message | I think children bought up in families that deviate from 'the norm' will be just as vulnerable to bullying and name calling as children bought up by people who share the Heritage Parties views. With their un-enlightened views that belong in the dark ages, surely the children of Heritage Party supporters might be accused of being "backwards" or "uneducated"? Of course, this would be entirely unwelcome, but we must, alas, think of the children. |

Message | The REP support this bill as it clearly wishes to liberalize an an aspect of individual life. |
