MessageSince our last budget, Hulstria's population has grown to over 424 million people; the Imperial Crownlands, having a very active and present standards for food safety, health and safety industry legislation, our pharmaceutical drug policy, vaccination production, the unversial cost coverage for all citizens in our health care, the guarantee of child benefits to families and general overall oversight mandates an increase for the Ministry of Food & Agriculture and Health & Social Services. Our population demands it, we can seriously believe that a 59 billion dollar F&A budget is going to be enough to ensure across the board, efficient food safety standards to 425 million people.

This budget, if it would be pass, would take out 27 billion crowns out of our current surplus of 94 billion.

MessageThe increase on Health spending could be argued as reasonable, but there is no reason to increase Food and Agriculture spending by the level that the FAP proposes.

MessageThe FAP considers 5 billion crowns a sustainable amount; as we outlined, with the large population increases we've seen and the laws we have concerning food, food safety and regulation, it is almost certain that the Food & Agriculture Ministry needs an increase that will continue to efficiently run those programs.

We won't support any budget that will have less than 2.5-3 billion crown increase for Food & Agriculture; the CLA mentioned the proposed levels and while 5 billion is what we want, we'd go down to numbers I just put up and put what is left back in the surplus or in the Education budget for the sake of compromise/consensus.
