Whereas schools are an issue of the provinces Whereas the people should never be forced to participate in a religious demonstration against their will Whereas the people are, by nature, free and can decide their education for themselves without interference by distant overlords The Freedom Party proposes the following devolutionary legislation: |

Old value:: All schools are required to be religious in nature.
Current: Religious schools are not allowed.
Proposed: Any religion may set up a school, with no regulations.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy with respect to prayer in schools.
Old value:: Teacher-led prayers are mandatory in schools.
Current: Teacher-led prayers in schools are forbidden.
Proposed: The government leaves this decision up to the schools themselves.

Message | To allow any religion to establish any kind of school without any regulation is particularly foolish. Imagine the construction of a synagogue in a devout Anglican community. There would be much discord and resentment. This bill fails to appreciate community relations and undermines the very important role that has performed by the Church of Pontesi within the realm for the past few hundred years. |
