Debate

Message | I know the KIP has an objection to omnibus bills. This is reasonable, but when so many reforms are needed in one topic, omnibus bills are perfectly acceptable - so long as all proposals share a common theme. |
Date | 21:59:16, October 26, 2005 CET | From | Action Française | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | The NA supports a strong military. The Empire needs to expand, we cannot do this if we make our armies smaller than everyone elses. |
Date | 23:07:03, October 27, 2005 CET | From | Mouvement d'Étoile Rouge | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | I disagree. With a large army, we can be seen as intimidating, thus provoking neighbours. That is thoroughly unnecessary. |
Date | 05:09:13, October 28, 2005 CET | From | Malfico Progressive Fascist Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | Although the argument that having a large army can disturb the balance of power and destabilise a region has some merit, it does not apply in this case. We will support the maintenance of an increased efensive millitary . The only article of this bill we oppose is the article three regarding nuclear weapons. the rest we could support. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
