From | Noordelijk Bevrijding Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature.....Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burned, tortured, fined and imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make half the world fools and half hypocrites; to support roguery and error all over the world. ? |

From | Noordelijk Bevrijding Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | of God: He says naïvely, outspokenly and without suggestion of embarrassment "I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God."
It is only another way of saying "I, the Lord thy God, am a small God; fretful about small things" ?

From | Dorvik Social Democrats | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | Religion is a cultural element, and thus it is allowed to be present in the media. Fatty foods have negative influences on people in the world, but we don't ban them from TV either. |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | You can't ban something that means so much to so many people just because your too intellectual to support religion. Perhaps if I were to propose a bill to ban the GRP from the media, you would be up in arms. And this is the same party that call us fascists! |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | The GRP's endless crusade against religion is turning a once respectable party into a joke! Let's hope the religous people in Dorvik cast for the only party that will stand up against these athiest fascists - the NLF! |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | I dont see how wanting a nuclear defence policy is fascist, you may disagree with it but it is in no way fascist. Attempting to ban anything to do with religion? That is extremely anti-democratic. The GRP will not stop until all religion is abolished! |

From | Noordelijk Bevrijding Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | Fascist in the way it makes people live thier lives in fear, a bomb that could destroy millions of peoples lives in the blink of an eye, would you ever use a nuclear weaopon? if you would you are not fit to hold office |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | Thanks for showing the flaws in Dorvikian education. You obviously dont know the definition of fascist. To be honest, I would be more scared being one of the only nations without a nuclear weapon but that is a different debate for a different bill. |

From | | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | As long as the media is state owned there should be no religion based programing run through gov't air waves. |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | I voted against state funded media. Anyway, it isnt state owned, there is one channel which is funded, but not controlled, by the taxpayer. I fail to see why religion should be censored based upon who is funding the channel? If you wish to ban religion for fear of 'indoctrination' I believe the news should also be banned as there is always very subliminal, in some cases massive, bias in news channels. Documentaries on history should be banned, as they will always have a bias, no matter how slight, towards one side. Need I go on? Banning something that has meant so much to so many people over so many years is just ignorance. |

From | | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | Specifying how far 'ban' goes could help, simply censoring 'God' out of the media will not help. Keeping religious programs or channels out of the media is another thing. |

From | Dorvik Conservative Party | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | I am going to vote yes for this bill as I believe that religion in the media can be very persuasive and that it is the right of the innocent children of Dorvik not to be too influenced in making their religious decisions. |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | So we are striking out at this mythical religous media. I suppose papers that show a hint of bias (ie all of them) will next on the chopping block? As I posted in another bill 'if you dont believe in freedom of speech for those you despise, you dont beleive in freedom of speech at all'. It is a sad day when the rights of religous people are sacrificed by a bunch of athiests. |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | Religous programmes dont necessarily portray it as 'the truth'. Take Songs of Praise, that is filmed inside a church of people singing hymns (which are probably next on the chopping block) so religous people who might not be able to make church can watch. The idea of TV is to provide something for everybody, so as well as religous-based programming we can have programmes such as Horizon that are always yapping on about 'save the trees' and so on. As I have said, will the news be banned? Are we going to have a 'bias-o-meter' on the side of the screen? How about we make Ned Flanders become a practising athiest so he is a good role model to the children? Do you still approve of party political broadcasts before elections? Where does the line between censored and uncensored lie? Where you think something is right or not? |

From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Ban on Religion in the media | Message | Also, why are you so active in wishing for a private media with no govt intervention but also believe we should tell the TV channels what is suitable for their airwaves? I propose we make documentaries into the leaders of the PWA of Davostan and then we may learn something. |
