Message | Before the right wing parties criticise for removing local government power, I ask this: why do they need local autonomy on this issue? Unless you want one of our local governments to not enforce food safety standards, what is the need for the current devolution to local level? Rutania should have food safety standards across the board. As such, we support. |

Message | We've decided to add article 2. The same reasoning applies to this proposal also. LDP summed up our argument perfectly. (Just to let you know, the LDP gave their support before we added this new proposal). |

Message | We actually would've supported the bill had you not added the second article. Standardizing something so basic as food is not a bad idea, but micromanaging who and who cannot sell food and how long it should sit on the shelves would be more efficiently done on the local level. So, to counter your recent argument, we do not believe it is the same reasoning. Should Article 2 be removed, then we would support this bill. |

Message | We support the current policy, and cannot support this legislation. |

Message | How is the shelf-life of food a local concern? All food should have the same shelf-life. I understand that licenses to sell food may seem like a local matter but the national government must decide the prerequisites in order to gain a license. We cannot have unlicensed people selling out-of-date food. |
