MessageThis legislation is so ludicrous that it does not warrant a discussion. Needless to say, the RHP fervently opposes this proposal.

MessageWe at the PPR find this bill to be far too over the top. Article 5 is ridiculous.

MessageAlthough we sympathise with the sentiments of the bill, the LDP find it unrealistic. The scientific benefits of animal research are well documented and many of the medical advancements we have made in the last century have come from animal research projects. The LDP actually passed the current legislation, enfocing much stricter regulations than had previously existed.

I wonder why the CTC are against domestic animal ownership? I wonder how those domesticated animals would exist in the wild and what havoc they would play to the humans in Rutania should this happen.

If the CTC is commited to equality in Terran Consciousness for non-humans I wonder how they would stop animals killing other animals which is perfectly in their nature.

MessageThe LDP's question raises a fundamental flaw in the CTC's policies. Animals constantly kill each other to survive, by necessity - why should humans be any different? The instinct to hunt other animals for subsistence is hard-coded into our biological make-up, just as it is for any other carnivorous or omnivorous species. The CTC's sanctimonious and exaggerated moral concerns for the welfare of animals and people are the very same that are responsible for the fundamental weakening and softening of our society.

MessageThe moral consciousness of humanity does not permit us to engage in flesh feeding. And any close examination of human biology will show that there is no need for this killing to sustain our species.

MessageThe CTC suggest that there is no need for humans to eat meat for the survival of the species, but the only alternative to eating meat is to use artificial supplements for nutrients found in very little else. Even with such supplements, a vegetarian will always be slightly malnourished, as they will have ignored a vital nutritional requirement. Meat-eating is a biological imperative inherent in human-beings as omnivorous animals, and we are no different to any other meat-eating species in this regard. It is impossible to reason that every animal on the Earth must eat others to survive, yet human beings are somehow morally obligated to do otherwise, despite our nature.

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.
