MessageThe OSP would rather focus on the problems on earth that go to space to find more but certainly we would not like to see the further galaxy carved up by huge corporations

MessageThe JLSP disagrees. While we have no disagreements with allowing private space travel, allowing it to be conducted entirely privately is not a very good idea. As we've mentioned before, long term research is seldom economical enough for private companies to engage in. Do you think private companies could've put a man on the moon in the 60s? Space exploration and research, as it is now, pushes our technical and scientific knowledge decades ahead of what market forces would allow otherwise.
