Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2133
Description[?]:
In order to provide high quality programming to the entire Country the public sector will reintroduce the HBC (Hobrazia Broadcasting Corporation) to operate both a National Television and Radio service to the population. These channels will provide educational and informational programmes as part of its remit. It will also be allowed to produce high quality drama productions in order to compete with Private media stations, though its ability to purchase cheap imported materials from other Countries will be curtailed so as not to allow it to introduce "dumbed down" services. The HBC will also be involved with the Hobrazian Television and Film Institute in an attempt to increase and improve the careers of budding Hobrazian actors and actresses as well as producers and other film makers. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
