Message | This will not make our streets safer. The reformed law proposed by the United Socialist Front (where guns are stored on hunting lodge and firing ranges) allow every one to use guns for their leisure without exposing the population of the danger of side arms proliferation. |

Message | I would vote to reinstate the old value "Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions." This allows citizens to own firearms if they choose to abide by the laws and restrictions placed upon them by the licensure process. It also allows the government to further punish criminals who ignore the process and commit crimes with the use firearms. It is unrealistic to assume that a total ban on guns will suddenly mean that they no longer exist. To support the total ban restricts law-abiding individuals while ensuring that criminals gain an advantage since they would ignore the ban. Personally, I loathe firearms. But I would not stop anyone from owning them if they showed the proper restraint in their use. Perhaps we should consider laws restricting the use of firearms instead of their ownership? |

Message | The police, with its high tech non-lethal weaponry can protect the citizens against armed criminals. We will oppose the bill. |

Message | My party is in favor of this bill mostly, however there needs to be firearm regulations promised before any such support is amended |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
Random quote: "The European Union and environmental advocacy groups use global warming hysteria to advance their own special agendas. The European Union recognizes any significant reduction in CO2 emissions by the United States will significantly reduce its economic output, thereby bringing it closer to the inferior output of European nations. Environmental advocacy groups work to stifle economic and industrial progress wherever they find it to inhibit the successful advancement of peoples in developing nations, inevitably making mankind a second class citizen of planet Earth." - Dr. Jay Lehr |
