Voting deadline: September 2854
Description[?]:
Hr. Dr. Viktor Hinburg - Sozialdienstensprecher der Zentrumspartei We believe that a basic state pension should be compulsory. We simply cannot allow people not to think for themselves and squander their money, leaving themselves to die. We shall not touch upon private pensions: they're prudent and will not even be discouraged. |

Message | The idea itself has merit, but the CLA believes the Imperial Crownlands' current revenue levels cannot support the expansion of the pension system. The HHS budget would need at least 15 billion crowns a year in additional spending to fund a fully compulsory public pension program, a sum we do not currently have. The CLA would most likely vote to make the system compulsory once the necessary additional funding can be secured, but supporting a change in the law now when it is not being paid for is unlikely. |

Message | Hr. Dr. Viktor Hinburg. We are most obliged to our colleagues from the CLA and look forward to the time when we have the money. OOC: I will not retract the bill, it's a good one for defining my policies. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
