Message | The Christian Liberals are proposing here like they have in the Infrastructure bill to take power away from local governments. Farm size; perhaps some local governments do not want massive farms, perhaps some due, thus the current policy. As for the Forest Management article, the proposed policy would break up the Crownland Forestry Agencies which are governed by regional and local governments, which we are against. |

Message | We are bringing power back to consumers, the market, and farmers themselves. They are in the best position to judge whether or not the size of their farm is economically viable or sustainable. Let the farmer decide his acreage, not the bureaucrat. Let the consumer and market reap the benefits of agriculture done through economies of scale instead of higher prices because of inefficient size regulations. This proposal would in no way break up the Crownland Forestry Agencies. It allows crownlands the choice to continue to operate the agencies as direct managers of forest land or not. If the Landtag of a crownland does not want their CFA to manage forest land the Agency still is responsible for other policy areas. Local governments are still responsible for tree plantation policy and forest protection. This law will not change that. The FAP's argument is unfounded. |
