Bill: Rundfunksgesetz (Broadcasting Act) of 2855
Details
Submitted by[?]: Christliche Zentrumspartei (CDV)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2855
Description[?]:
Aletta Lohmetten - Media Spokesman of the Zentrumspartei We believe in a responsible broadcasting system that functions as the watchdog of the political system and encourages civil and political activites. So far, the private broadcasters have not delivered that: they'd rather broadcast Idols than the news! Now, it is people's own prerogative what they watch, but we believe there should be a choice! The public broadcasters should function alongside private broadcasters to educate the people. A diverse public broadcasting system with non-profit broadcasting associations would do the job nicely. |
