Message | We propose this bill in order to enforce "unofficial" stikes. Workers should be able to strike without the sanction of a Trade Union when labour unions refuse to endorse their cause directly through this tactic. Also, this law would give unionized workers the legal right to strike. Finally, it would allow Trade Unions to organize strikes in sub-sectors in parallel with / in spite of union strikebreaking. Message | We feel that what this really does is allow unions to strike without the consent of the workers. There is nothing preventing the union officials from calling for the strikes that workers cannot maintain; let alone support. Likewise, this has the potential to create a permanent era of strikes and pull apart the nation. Why does the Alliance wish to rip apart the nation and create an unnecessary and undesired rift between workers and the very unions that are supposed to represent them? |
