Bill: Curfew Reformation Initiative
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Centrists
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2134
Description[?]:
A nationally set curfew is inneffective and innefficient. Local governments should have the right to set curfews as they see fit, as the exact time of a proper curfew may differ from Union to Union. The current national curfew of 11:00 might be addequate for, lets say, Orame, but it may be unneccessary in Fuwan or not good enough for Tesuhen. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Curfew policy (curfew time to be determined in the bill description).
Old value:: Minors may not use streets or public property beyond the curfew time.
Current: Local governments may impose curfews, but only if a state of emergency has been declared.
Proposed: Local governments may set curfews, but national government does not.

Message | Yes, there's truth in that, and we agree with your argumentation. But, local rules might also be inefficient because it would create confusion for people not familiar with all the regulations in other regions. Thinking negatively, this might even cause our people to ignore these rules. We cannot reach a clear decision between the pros and contras of the options yet... |

Message | We understand your concern and do not deny the fact that some visitors could easily be unaware of a region's curfew. However, if they can give proof that they are indeed from another region, the authorities could simply give them a warning. After comparing the cons of both national and local curfews, we still believe that local curfews will prove least problematic. |

Message | OK. After all, most of our citizens are honest and law abiding and the NS has faith in them. We will agree to this proposal. |
