Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2863
Description[?]:
Many independent sources critizise government statement on ISPs. They call for more free internet services, as long as there have been signs of government effects on it. Additionally, the price of the internet connection is way too high for poor people, who are not able to access the internet due to nonexisting competition. Even those who can afford it has it pretty slow and now even some companies are complaining, that their internet connection causes them to be late on the stock market. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy on internet service providers (ISPs).
Old value:: The state owns and operates a national internet service provider, alongside private ISPs.
Current: There is a national state-owned internet service provider, but small private ISPs are allowed, which are heavily restricted to ensure that they stay small.
Proposed: Private companies provide internet service throughout the nation, without government interference.
