"Members of Parliament,

Already our new cherished freedom is under threat. In the struggle for self-determination, it is predictable that our would-be occupiers could concieve that our belief in the most fundamental of rights can be shaken by the threat of arms. They cling to a belief in the most extravagant of ideas; that it is simple for them to send soldiers with weapons in hand and have their laws and constitution embraced by the people. Armed men, they suppose against the mount of evidence to the contrary, are missionaries, capable of being viewed as anything other than adversaries.

But the people are not compelled to share their beliefs; indeed, they have already chosen the path towards liberty, and freedom, and fairness, and self-determination. They have chosen this path at the ballot box, and they will choose to defend it with the gun and the bayonet, if necessary."

-David Wells

Article 1: The President of the Republic is given command of the armed forces, and given permission to mobilise an army as large as he sees necessary.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.
