On the submission of a recording of video evidence indicating the patient's explicit desire, as well as written confirmation from at least two qualified doctors that the victim is of sound mind and is suffering from a terminal illness, a judge deeming the evidence sufficient to confirm the patient's reasonably informed decision may permit another doctor to administer a lethal injection to the sufferer. Message | We hope that this measure will satisfy those parties who previously voted for the euthanasia bill in the last term out of concern for the plight of the suffering, as well as those parties who were worried about the welfare of the sick and the elderly who nevertheless wished to continue. |

Message | CP, this means that we are recriminalising non-consenting euthanasia, and replacing it with assisted suicide, in which at least the patient has a say in the matter. Surely this is a step in the right direction? |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
