MessageTo even it out, the three largest parties were given three seats. Also, note that the CZP has been given no seats and to answer anyones questions, no this is not an attempt to kick them out of government. (OOC: If anyone has read their latest post in the main nation page, they will be gone for two weeks so I thought I'd address that issue in this cabinet so we won't have to revisit it in seven days).

MessageAs second largest party the LDP demands some important ministries! And we certainly want Finance, that's all we ask!

Message@CLA: The LDP was fairly new when they proposed that tax proposal so let us cut them some slack since they were still getting a hold of how this country workes. (OOC: ie the tax system in particracy is screwed up as it is so it is impossible to change it without negatively affecting the country's GDP).

Let us get this cabinet in before Christmas before anybody leaves like the CZP.

MessageA simple review of the numbers would showed that the proposed tax system would have been disastrous for poor and middle class Hulstrians. We share many positions with the LDP and have a favorable overall view of that party. However, the CLA cannot support putting a party into the Finance Ministry that may seek to pursue such tax policies.

(OOC: The LDP may have been a new party, but the player was not a new player.)

Messageboth ic and ooc: Now that know that tweeking with the tax system, either it be lowering it or increasing it, will negatively affect the GDP, I don't think they will be pushing for more tax policies and will probably stick to the budget. The LDP most likely shares this same view.

MessageOOC: I don't want to screw up the tax system, just wanted another tax system. A more progressive system with the lower-income paying a relative low tax percentage, and the highest incomes paying a bit higher income. By increasing some budgets, spendings would also increase so the nation's GDP remains allmost the same...

But don't worry, the LDP has frozen their plans! So no new tax system proposals for the upcoming years!
