Message | Mr. Speaker, This bill must be opposed. None of us can in all good consciousness vote for a bill that will obviously discriminate against religious minorities. Articles 4, 5, and 6 must be stricken from the bill before I could vote for it. Let us be a secular state, not a theocracy or atheist state. The government should have no part of religion, and neither should or public schools. I yield - Abram Green |

Message | Mr Speaker, The role of the Gerajan faith in the history of our nation and the traditions and cultural activities of our people should determine that it is allowed to take its rightful place in the political life of our nation. To try and artificially separate religion from political life would be akin to trying to separate the economy from political life, or education from politics. It cannot be done without directly attacking the sigle most important part of our heritage. -Samara Yacobs |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The representative of the IC misunderstood me. I am not saying religious values should not be taken into account when legislating, for laws should be based on morals which come from religion. However, the government shouldn't be advocating for on religion over another. That will only create feelings of distrust towards our government by citizens of other religions. We should let the people choose their religion free from us supporting one or the other. I yeild - Abram Green |
