Message | The reason we don't support banning the sale of alcohol to adults is that, even though the product has no essentially no legitimate purpose, alcohol use is so ingrained in society that prohibition would cause more trouble in increased crime than the benefit of decreased alcohol consumption. However, banning the sale of other recreational drugs, including tobacco, if done so reasonably, could reap substantial societal benefits without as much of an increase in crime. |

Message | The PPR cannot support this bill. Just because something is not a benefit to society does not mean it should be regulated. People must have a choice to live their own lives and not the lives as prescribed by the government. |
