Details

Submitted by[?]: Bloc de gauche

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2872

Description[?]:

In that curfews curtail freedom of expression, they should be repealed in all forms.

In that the collection of DNA from any person convicted of a crime sets dangerous precedents in a slide toward a police state, it must be stopped.

In that people come to this nation seeking better lives, they should not be expelled.

In that a national police force would not be to funding disparities of regional police forces, a national force should be established as the sole force.

In that it is better to rehabilitate prisoners than to turn them into slave laborers, we must change the law to allow for prisoners to work with rewards.

The passage of this legislation will create a more just society.

MessageWe feel this is too liberal on criminals; and the police changes would be very inefficient. Local governments know their areas the best and are the most effective position to determine where police and other officials should be used. And why does the CP wish to stop the collection of DNA from convicted criminals? ... such data could be used to determine the perpetrators of past crimes, or aid the apprehension of repeat offenders of the future.
