Message | The JLSP thinks this law may be valid. While we won't restrict anyone's wish to drink, we must also recognise that alcohol is an addictive and poisonous substance, and we need to ensure that manufacturers will not take advantage of those properties. We have no problem with people taking alcohol, our problems with it only arise when we have portions of the population -encouraged- to become addicted. It'll impact both their basic rights and our society at large. If the JCP could suggest how they feel the 'free market' might avoid this by itself, we'll be willing to consider their opinion, but for the time being we feel that regulation may be required to protect the populace. |

Message | forcing people to gain liscenses before selling product actually , in fact, does something the LS and OSP wouldn't like. Gives advantages to large corporations. |

Message | Why do you say this, may countries have restrictions and licences for the sale of alcohol, yet still small family owned pubs and off licences still exist and are actually prominent. Your statement seems to have no bearing |
