Message | While the PPR unreservedly agree with article 2, we must oppose article 1 in it's current form. We believe in strict gun control but we also believe in not restricting the rights of those responsible Rutanians who wish to own firearms. We must oppose the bill in this current form but gladly welcome debate on this matter. |

Message | The REP does basically agree with the PPR. Furthermore we are not fully convinced by the usefulness of the second article, either, because it might lead to the fall of public security levels. But we do not have studies made in this respect. |

Message | The LDP would support this as a step in the right direction - ideally an ouright ban on firearm ownership. We do not believe that individuals should have ownership of the weapon if they need it for professional reasons. For example: the weapon does not belong to the soldier - he does not take it home in the evening - it belongs to the army and should stay in the barracks. |

Message | I have changed Article 1 to Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions. I understand the PPR's concerns and have decided to compromise a little, but this is the absolute limit for us on this matter. The 'strict' license conditions will have leave no restrictions on 'responsible Rutanians' due to the fact that if they were truly responsible then they would find it no trouble at all obtaining a license. |

Message | I think it is dangerous to remove guns from police before removing them from citizens. |
