MessageFirstly, opening up free private schools will undermine the education industry. If parents can send their children to a school with "values" for free, why send them to a private school? I believe a true libertarian would call that "government intervention in the free market".

Secondly, tax payers pay for public schools because they know that they their tax aureus will be spent on a secular and government-neutral education. What you propose is to increase the size of the education system, thereby requiring more tax aureus, and spending it on an education that the parents may not necessarily agree upon. If the parents want their children to have an education with "values", then with the money that would otherwise be taxed under this proposal, they could pay for a private school.

Thirdly, charter schools are not public schools that require uniforms. Charter schools are free schools run by non-profit organisations, like churches, charities, etc. These organisations have enough to worry about without being expected to operate a school based on government handouts.
