Message | The Prime Minister: Mr Speaker, under our new healthcare system, it is an oddity that the state should still be providing all pharmaceuticals completely free of charge. We believe that this should be reserved only for those most in need. We shall therefore ensure that the state continues to subsidise the cost for those on low incomes, whilst also ensuring that pensioners and children shall never have to pay. Mr Speaker, this protects the most needy whilst reducing the burden on the state, and giving pharmaceutical companies and private practices incentives. |
