Government owned industries are inefficient, and do not contribute to growth of the economy and the prosperity of a nation's people. It is on these grounds that it is proposed that all government owned defence industries be sold into private ownership. |

Message | This is a bad idea, first of all defence industries are very important and should not be left solely up to private companies. Secondly if a company if owned by the state then it's only concern is to provide a good service, it has no other objective, but private companies only objective is to make money, providing a good service comes behind profit. The People's Equality Party does not support this bill |

Message | Yes, a private corporation's only objective is to make money. However, a government company does not concern itself with providing a quality product or service either, and do not delude yourself into thinking it does. I can point out two Canadian Crown Corporations right off my head that are miserable failures, both in turning a profit and providing a half-decent product. |
