We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby authorize the following additions to the Supreme Court Act of 2700 ( http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=237314 ). 10- In order for a nomination of Supreme Court Justices to be declared valid after passage from Parliament, all currently serving Justices must retire or resign. 11- The President may, by proposing a nomination to Parliament, force the retirement of currently serving Supreme Court Justices only if said Justices have served for at least thirty years. 12- In the case that only one Justice is serving in the Supreme Court, the President must nominate qualified individuals to fill the remaining seats without requiring said Justice to resign or retire. This is a Constitutional Amendment and requires a two thirds majority of Parliament to be approved. |
