MessageI do not support this. It claims some governments think they can force people to be atheist, yet allow countries to make membership in their national religion mandatory. I despise hypocrisy.

MessageBasically, a freedom of religion treaty where ratifiers would refuse to trade with nations that regulate which religions are allowed and those that don't even allow religion.

MessageI would not support that. Our beleife is that nations that have state religions should not be punished as states without any religion.

MessageIn the end, we would be supporting freedom of religion either way, because the treaty would punish those who make religion illegal or who make it mandatory. I will draft that treaty now; sorry for my slowness in doing so.

MessageI must vote no on this. Call me self-righteous, but my treaty is much more comprehensive than this one, and does not allow forced religion or forced atheism.

MessageThis treaty does not go against your treaty, it simply supports it. This does not require trade with anyone and therefore only does less of what your treaty does, supplementing it.

Random fact: In cases where players have failed to clearly and accurately reference their nation's RP laws in the "Bills under debate" section, Moderation will rule them invalid if a challenge is made to their validity.
