Message | Moderate aid makes things even worse. Nations in need of help are usually ruled by despotic warlords. I don't think they would use money for their people. And even if there is a democratic government, it is usually a waste: they use the money, they ask for more with no result. Giving money is a superficial way of solving those problems and washing our sins. Keep the law as is, a cynical but not hypocrite policy (not referring it to you). |

Message | i was actually between two minds when putting forward the bill, i agree what you say about warlords but i feel it's wrong to exploit these nations so either cut aid completely or give aid with no gain. |

Message | The actual law defines both 'economic aid' and 'political aid', so I think it helps nations from the principle of their problems. I may be cynical but I prefer exploiting those nations instead of giving them a sort of 'false' help, but that's a very moot point. |
