Bill: Nationalized Media Act of 2889
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union of Radical Republicans (UM)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2890
Description[?]:
This bill will serve to decentralize the control of media deemed educational and for the public benefit. Certainly, we can all agree that this is an age of politics of the powerful personality; the direct control of media by the state is, in such a time, a worrying prospect; this will give a degree of separation between politics and the public media. |

Message | The HBC has been up and running for almost seventeen years. We have saw hard hitting documentaries embrace our screens aswell televised political debates, wildlife programs, reality tv shows, sports and our favourite soaps and dramas. It would be extremely sad day for the people of Hutori, if this bill were to pass. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, this act would not end the HBC - it would merely reorganize it as a not for profit private cooperative outside the realm of potential political interference. There is no reason to expect any of the documentaries, reporting, politics, or entertainment to disappear from our screens. |

Message | Mr Speaker, the HBC relies heavily on the taxpayer's cash. It could face bankruptcy. |
