We understand the arguements that the legislation of prostitution helps protect them. Women should never have to consider such a degrading occupation in the first place. Our national welfare system and national minimum wage should prevent any form of destitution from occurring in the first place. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, this act will not reduce the demand for prostitutes, nor will it improve the circumstances of those forced into prostitution for economic reasons - it will not, it can not, it, frankly, could never, end prostitution in Hutori. What this act will do, however, is create a need for "protection" from the police among those prostitutes who cannot afford their own barriers against legal prosecution - which would mean the return of, essentially, forced servitude, abuse, and worse - the worst evils of prostitution the Ultras claim to fear. |

Message | Mr Speaker, so you are currently criticising your own minimum wage bill and our current welfare system? |

Message | Mr Speaker, what about if prostitution was legal but not recognised nor endorced by the government? Right now we may aswell have college courses designed to train prostitutes. Educate them on how to give better oral sex. Prostitution is a degrading occuption which many should be advised to avoid. We knew the arguement that we faced. Prostitution is a morally degrading occupation and I'm sure that most parties would agree. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I am unsure to what the Ultras refer; certainly they cannot believe a black market will hold itself to whatever minimum wage legislation the House passes? |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
