Message | Mr. Speaker, while the Union has always been a strong supporter of economic regulation in Hutori, it has been in the belief that measured and planned growth is in the best interests of all parties involved in the creation of wealth: labor, management, creative workers, investors, consumers, and - by extension - the whole nation. This bill goes far beyond comprehension - it would not aid our own workers, our own investors, our own nation. Instead, it would strangle their ability to work, to engage in enterprise, to earn a wage. We urge all parties to stand against this fearmongering, xenophobic bill. |
Date | 10:57:18, February 08, 2010 CET | From | Conservative-Libertarian Party (UM) | To | Debating the Foreign Investment Act (2890) |
Message | Rt Hon Duchess Thompson MP: Mr Speaker, party support for the initial change, regulating the investments of foreign people, simply stoked the flames that led to the proposal of this xenophobia. Once a step is taken down a long, lonely road, it is difficult to get back of it. The party that urges us to stand against this bill, should take a look in the mirror, Mr Speaker, and remember that they supported steps towards this. |
Date | 16:17:46, February 08, 2010 CET | From | House Lusk-Nat'l Syndicalist Party (UM) | To | Debating the Foreign Investment Act (2890) |
Message | Mr Speaker, it's impossible to overstate the benefits that the flow of foreign capital into our land. |
