Message | um, I support some of these... but not them all. I would like the state eliminated also, but, wait, dont you support state control over business? But I thought you dont want the state to exist... |

Message | This really is the only gripe we have: The Head of State is also Head of Government. |

Message | Yeah, we can't vote for that one either. The rest are mostly fine. But is "pithy" really what we want? Or would "quippy" be better? |

Message | Lets see, this bill proposes to pay extra MPs to do nothing, and to double the current cost of elections. Meanwhile you want to severely increase the cost of the assembly, by forcing us to multiply our current capital infrastructure by NINETEEN. At some times the cities of Lodamun are to be filled with MPs, staff, and will require all kinds of services, but those services will also be no longer needed at the drop of a hat. AND you want to conveniently forget the fact that the head of state is NOT just another ordinary citizen. I refer the Libertarian Militia to the former debates on this topic, in the days of the Adam Smith Party. |

Message | In this structure all the Head of State does is chair the cabinet committee. All parties are still able to propose a cabinet and the Head of Government post has been severely restricted financially. By allowing an additional vote for the HoG, through the mechanic for electing a HoS, even though it's flawed, it gives the electorate more control than allowing the chair of the Cabinet to be decided by the parties. As for additional costs, these are actually marginal, the infrastructure of regulation - where it exists - does not increase at all, therefore the bureaucracy does not need to increase. By using telecommunications, much parliamentary business, including debating and voting can be performed without the need for members to be present physically. |

Message | "pithy" has been removed from the anthem and the motto. |

Message | ASP arguments on infrastructure were completely unconvincing. Rotating the capital does not need to cost anything, espeically if the Assembly is made up of part-time legislators meeting when required: it will cost them the same to travel to meet in a high school auditorium as it does for them to travel to meet in a fancy building in Port Andalay. Include a big pay cut for Assembly members to make up for the extra cost of there being twice as many, and apart from the head of state chairing cabinet (which removes this prerogative from the Assmebly and potentially gives us a more powerful HoS since power tends to corrupt), and you will have our support. The honourable member from Ficklesbourg North Centre will resist the temptation to add a rider increasing hog-belly prices in his district, but only because we have security guards physically restraining him. |

Message | Oops, and i see it's already gone to a vote. Well, yes for now and hopefully it can be re-introduced later. LM, why not ask for the changes you would like, here is a chance to really reduce Big Government at a time when the Remnants are building Bigger Government. |

Message | In this structure, we don't actually see the HoS gaining additional authority through becoming the HoG. With a short period between elections, a large number of representatives and a cabinet proposed by any party we view the HoG as adopting a similar role to the current HoS, with the exception of chairing Cabinet meetings. The portfolios of ministers are far more powerful. Furthermore, although the two-round system is flawed, it would allow the people to have some say in who sits in the chair. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
