Bill: Private Cars Act 2898
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2899
Description[?]:
The Freedom Party proposes to resubmit our Private Cars Act of 2893 which read: The Freedom Party believes the current legislation with regard to ownership of private cars needs review. At present it reads "Private cars are allowed, but people are encouraged to travel collective (sic) and tax incentives are provided for cars using environmentally friendly fuels." Freedom believe that local governments already have the ability to decide upon the viability of a transport system for their area; collective travel can only be encouraged if a need is there and it is cost effective to do so, an individual choice; and that the feasibility of “eco-cars” is still debatable due to suitability of task. Therefore Freedom believes to give tax-breaks for ownership of such cars is an automatic penalty to those that don't have them and this is unfair. People driving smaller cars already pay less tax because they use less petrol (gas), this should be incentive enough. Therefore Freedom feels an adjustment to the law should read: o There are no regulations on the ownership of private cars. Ben Richards, Leader of the Opposition Freedom Party Ldr |

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that. |
