This Act will forbid schools from forcing children to sing the national anthem. It does not legislate against schools playing the national anthem, and the frequency at which this shall be done shall be the decision of individual schools. However, no school shall be allowed to punish children for not singing the national anthem, although normal discipline procedures shall be applied for any children that break school rules in other ways in regard to the national anthem (eg. being violent to children who are singing, purposefully disrupting a lesson or assembly on this issue etc.) |
