Message | The CHP supports Article II. However, while we believe that positive discrimination is much more detrimental than beneficial in our modern society, it is the obligation of the authority to ensure that discrimination against minorities does not happen in our country. Therefore we will reject this bill. |
Date | 15:25:51, March 06, 2010 CET | From | Green Party of Aldegar | To | Debating the Deregulation of Business Practices |
Message | We do agree with the CHP in that positive discrimination is more often disadvantegous than beneficial. However, we would like to point out to the CHP that there are other ways in which the government can ensure that discrimination is not the norm. In fact, whilst positive discrimination might tackle discrimination against minorities in terms of numbers and data, other methods such as promoting different cultures and understanding can help eradicate discrimination against the majority as well as the minorities not just on paper, so to speak. |
